The Department of Social Rights and Development Cooperation organizes, together with the Social Center for the Elderly of the Esparragal, the intergenerational activity 'Recognition of Plants and Preparation of Home Recipes' on the next 14 and 16 March.

It is a workshop that seeks, in addition to the training of botany and gastronomy, the promotion of coexistence between adults and children.

"This is an opportunity to put aside day-to-day stress, worries or problems and focus all efforts on strengthening ties between different generations, so that older people can teach younger children to maintain traditions. ", Councilor Conchita Ruiz explained.

To this end, a workshop will be held to recognize wild plants that have traditionally had a domestic use, for food, perfumery or cosmetics, to be taught first to adults on Wednesday, March 14.

These will be the ones that, in a second session on the 16th, will transfer the knowledge learned to the children of CEIP Nuestra.
