The weekend gave us one of the great events of the year with sports in our region.
The capital was decorated for the III Sport Festival of Murcia, with numerous activities in charge of each of the federations that make up the Union of Sports Federations of the Region of Murcia, and that together with the City of Murcia has developed two intense and fantastic days for all attendees.
Within the aforementioned activities, the appointment with the popular athletics could not be missed, within the framework of the II Real Madrid Foundation Solidarity Race in Murcia.

The absolute masculine triumph in the long distance corresponded to the athlete of the Alcaraz Group Leandro Asensio, 1st senior with a time of 33:51.
After him, Daniel Pla, from CT Murcia Unidata, 2nd senior at 34:03, being 3rd in finish and 1st 40 master Francisco Jesús Franco, from San Javier Team Inassa, who completed the distance at 34:06.
On the feminine side, the victory fell to the athlete of the Alcaraz Group, Mar Gómez, also taking the 40th master's triumph after finishing at 44:09, ahead of the 1st senior Gabriela Mejía, at 45:43, as well as Paloma Nogales, from Grupo Alcaraz, at 46:44.
Regarding the distance of 5km, the fastest in men was Jorge Tomás (16:36), followed by CA Murcia athlete Tovarsport Petros Sánchez (16:38) and Ángel Nicolás (16:38).
He won in females Maria Martinez, of CA Murcia Tovarsport (19:22), followed by the athlete of the Alcaraz Group Elena María Millán (19:59) and of her club mate Esther Nicolás (20:06).
