The City of Murcia presents the first Intelligent Urban Development Manual in Washington (11/03/2018)

Murcia is leading the writing of a manual on intelligent management of urban space in collaboration with cities in France, Italy, Argentina, Uruguay, Portugal, Brazil and Spain such as Bordeaux, Milan, Buenos Aires, Montevideo ...

This document will include, with an idea from Murcia, the focus and experience of the 11 cities in the URBELAC III urban policy cooperation project, financed by the Inter-American Development Bank and the European Union.

The contents of the manual range from the first phases in the participatory conception and the ideation of a project to its management and maintenance once it has been carried out and put into operation.

The manual deals with the importance of urban design taking into account the aspects related to its day-to-day management.

Likewise, the importance of the participation of citizens both individually and collectively in the development of public space, which should be a meeting place for all, is highlighted.
