María Arnaldos, graduated in Biochemistry from the University of Murcia, has achieved the number 1 in the demanding examination of access to the national squares for Internal Resident Chemist called by the Ministry of Health.
More than three hundred people competed for one of the 23 places and she has been above all despite finishing the race in June 2017.
María, who was an Extraordinary End of Grade Award, had a very good basic education that she completed with the preparation of the master's degree course of the Official College of Chemists of Murcia in the specialty of Clinical Laboratory.
"Many people show up and to get a place I would have been happy, I knew I was prepared, but I studied a lot because there are many people who prepare several years and I only studied seven months," he explains.
María has spent eight to ten hours a day studying during these months of preparation.
Now you can choose the place in the hospital you want, where it will be incorporated into a clinical laboratory.
Arrixaca is one of the options it has, although it also shuffles hospitals in Madrid and Barcelona such as La Paz, Gregorio Marañón or Vall d'Hebrón, among others.
"I have time to choose until April 17. Now I will call the hospitals to ask for information and make the decision," says the biochemist.
María Arnaldos has not been the only graduate of the University of Murcia that this year has achieved a place in the QIR.
In ninth place of the list has been Concepción Martínez, graduate in Chemistry;
while David Pons, a graduate in Biochemistry, has managed to be eleventh.
Both have also been prepared in the Official College of Chemists of Murcia.
