Some 30 students from the FP automotive module at the Aljada de Puente Tocinos Institute have done a graffiti this morning at Puente Tocinos to claim gender equality and against sexist violence.
This activity is framed in the events scheduled by the Municipal Board of the district for the commemoration of March 8.
The students, who during this course participated in the center in the workshop "It is better with love", have wanted to express in one of the outer walls of the institute the subjects on which they have debated these last months.
In the center of graffiti have placed as a central theme "Who loves you, takes care of you", as well as images of women calling 016 to report situations of abuse or expressing categorically "No es No".
In the realization of the mural has been present the Socialist councilor of the City of Murcia, Maite Espinosa, who has said "the importance of young people acquire social awareness through education in values ​​of respect and equality."
In this sense, he has celebrated the promotion of actions such as this graffiti, along with others such as the development of educational programs that affect equality between men and women and against gender violence, as well as training actions for teachers in these matters and their introduction in opposition agendas.
For its part, the Vice President of the Municipal Board, Lola Jara, reported that during this week more than a thousand children and young people from the educational centers of the districts attend film sessions at the Cultural Center to watch movies as "Suffragettes" or "Brave" and documentaries about the historical origin of March 8.
