Experts in sports medicine will analyze in the 'I International Congress on prescription and programming of sport and exercise in chronic disease' organized by the UCAM, different aspects such as physical exercise in people with chronic disease, progress in the promotion of the activity physical health, prescription exercise, nutrition and cardiology.
The event will begin tomorrow, Thursday, and will close this Friday afternoon.
Through round tables, conferences and workshops specialists in the field of health and sports will present clinical cases and different investigations in these fields.
The participation in the congress of world-renowned speakers in these areas, such as the Swedish Mats Borjesson, director of the Center for Health and Performance (CHP) of the Götegorb University;
the Italians Fabio Pigozzi, doctor honoris causa by the UCAM and president of the International Federation of Sports Medicine;
and Giulio Sergio Roi, from the Department of Neuroscience, Biomedicine and Movement Sciences of the University of Verona;
the Dutchman Tibor Hortobagyi, professor of Healthy Aging of the University of Groningen, and the Murcian José Meca, director of the NICEM Chair of the UCAM.
The congress is organized by the International Chair of Sports Medicine of the Catholic University, directed by Pedro Manonelles, together with the Spanish Society of Sports Medicine.
