Juan De La Cierva more alive than ever '|

Councilman for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesus Pacheco, presented this morning the #elalboroque cultural cycle, organized by the association 'There is a tiger behind you' in collaboration with the City Council.

In this edition the Laurel of platinum will be delivered to the photographer Joaquín Zamora.

Pacheco has highlighted "the tireless work of Zamora in capturing in images our traditions, our best landscapes and our culture becoming, without a doubt, one of the best photographers of Murcia today."

The first day of this cycle, coordinated by the journalist and City Chronicler Antonio Botías, will be held on March 12, at 8:00 pm, in the assembly hall of the building attached to the City Council.

During the event, the association's honorary member will be named, handing him the platinum Laurel to Zamora, for his work in the dissemination and preservation of the traditions, customs and culture of the Region of Murcia and its artistic heritage.

In 2016, the honoree was El Tío Juan Rita, while the journalist Alberto Castillo received it last year.

The event will be opened by the screening of a video made by the most international photographer in Murcia, Juan Manuel Díaz Burgos, honorary member of the association, who is in Cuba and will talk about the work of Joaquín Zamora.

On March 13, also at 8:00 pm and in the assembly hall of the building annexed to the Town Hall, a colloquium will take place under the name of 'The autogyro.

In it will participate Laura de La Cierva, president of the Association Juan De La Cierva Codorniú;

Ximo Forner, constructor and pilot of autogyros;

José Antonio Postigo, University professor and expert in the life and work of Juan De La Cierva;

Primitivo Pérez, Academician of the Royal Academy of Cinema and author and scriptwriter of the films about Juan De La Cierva;

Fernando De La Cierva Bento, grandson of Juan De La Cierva, and Antonio Soler, sculptor of the bust of Juan De La Cierva of the project 'Juanito C-30'.
