Carlos Callizo, painter and associate professor at the University of Murcia, has been selected as one of the best urban artists of the month of February by the prestigious English magazine streetart360.net, dedicated to street art.
The Murcian artist has achieved this recognition thanks to a mural by Pablo Picasso that he made in the streets of Molina de Segura.
Callizo, who began his training as an architect until he discovered his interest in painting, has only been dedicated to urban art for a few years.
In an interview published in this same magazine, the UMU professor explains that creating on the street "is much more powerful than doing it in a studio, I love the connection with people when the work is done".
Cities throughout Spain have samples of their work, which can also be seen in several locations in the Region of Murcia.
