There he has delivered various sports equipment for the school for € 1,500, in the presence of students and teachers, highlighting the presence of the director of the center, Manuel Vélez Bajón, and physical education teacher, José Antonio Calero Requena.
"We are aware that the best way to fight for equality is through education and that sport can play a fundamental role in instilling in schoolchildren the values ​​that should govern our society. team, solidarity and the union of students have sport in the mirror in which to look ", highlighted the councilor.
The Equality in Sport Award aims to promote equal opportunities in sport.
Annually, the Equality in Sports Award is awarded to the educational center that has been highlighted by a greater participation of girls in the School Sports Program.
Likewise, the work done by teachers in the transmission of values ​​of equality between girls and boys through the practice of competitive sport is recognized.
