Antonio Navarro, Councilor for Urban Planning, Environment, Water and Garden, recalls that this week, from Monday 5 to Friday 9 March, the Forum of Popularization and Awareness about the Huerta de Murcia will be held, which will feature a series of presentations that will Place in the Assembly Hall of the Moneo Building at 7:00 p.m.
Within this event, which is part of the programming of the III Week of the Garden, there are five papers with a common point: agroecology.
The first of these talks is held today March 5 with the title 'The Network of cities for agroecology and the promotion of urban food policies' which will have as a speaker Nuria Alonso, ambientologist, collaborator with the Foundation Entretantos and expert in cooperation with development.
Tomorrow, March 6, Carlos Verdaguer, urban architect and associate professor at the Polytechnic University of Madrid will offer the paper 'Integration of agri-food strategies in the urban planning approach'.
On Wednesday, March 7, will have the talk 'Agrodiversity as a differentiating factor in the plan of agricultural development of the Huerta de Valencia' by Enric Navarro, agronomist and partner of the association Per l'horta.
Next Thursday, March 8, Jose María Egea, Professor of Botany at the University of Murcia, will give the lecture 'Sowing utopias to root the garden'.
Finally, to close this forum on the garden, the talk 'Procurement of ecological products of proximity.
Challenges and Experiences' will be carried out by Isabel Haro, president of the Andalusian Federation of Ecological Consumers and Producers and a master's degree in Agroecology.
