The number of bonus vehicles in the roll of the Mechanical Traction Vehicle Tax of 2018 grows (05/03/2018)

Today begins the period of voluntary payment of the Mechanical Traction Vehicle Tax.

The Municipal Tax Agency of the City of Murcia has approved the standard for the year 2018 for an amount of 24,520,184.59 euros with a total of 334,839 tax objects whose period of voluntary payment will be extended until next May 7.

Of these tax objects, 22,428 are exempt vehicles and 34,120 bonus vehicles (2,300n more than in 2017) with 30%, 75% or 100%, depending on the situation, which will result in a total saving for taxpayers of 4,221,169.26 euros

Within the subsidized vehicles, this year will enjoy a bonus of 30% of the quota 5,438 green vehicles, 651 vehicles more than in 2017, whose bonus amount amounts to 129,526.87 euros, and 6 electric vehicles will enjoy a bonus of 75 % on your receipt.

Also increased by 1,651 units are the vehicles with 100% of the quota for having an age of 25 years or more, raising the total number of these vehicles to 28,600 vehicles in the year 2018, which represents a saving for the taxpayers of 1,847,213.85 euros.

Regarding tax exemption, it is worth mentioning the increase of vehicles that are destined for the exclusive use of people with disabilities, 18,885 vehicles in 2018, which represents a saving for taxpayers of 1,975,190.60 euros.

In addition, 3,543 vehicles will be exempt for other assumptions (agricultural, health, official vehicles ...) whose savings amount to 262,118.75 euros.

All those citizens who want to pay the Tax for Mechanical Traction Vehicles will have the possibility of making the payment in one or two installments.

In the case of opting for payment in a single installment, the account debit will be made next May 2, and may process your request until April 20.

If you choose to pay in two installments, the charges will be made on April 2 and May 2, with until March 16 to process your request for direct debit.

The AMT offers payment facilities to all citizens and companies that are not up to date with their tax obligations with the City Council in order to favor the maintenance of their tax benefits.

Likewise, the AMT reminds that Murcia taxpayers have at their disposal the Personalized Payment Plan for up to 12 months without interest, special payment system that allows them to pay the standard receipts of their taxes and periodic collection fees (Vehicles, IBI , IAE and Fees) in the type of payment they choose (monthly, bimonthly, quarterly or annually), taking effect from the 2019 financial year if they request it from now until the next day December 1.

All those taxpayers who are not yet domiciled for the payment of this tax, in the next few days, will receive by mail at home the payment letter corresponding to their vehicle.
