The burial projects of the El Carmen-Barriomar and Nonduermas stations will be tendered in the spring and will be executed simultaneously
Counselor Pedro Rivera highlights that there are "important steps" in the burial of roads, which "reveals that the commitment is real"
The Minister of the Presidency and Development, Pedro Rivera, stressed today that "day after day we are checking the continuous progress in the works of burial" of all railroad tracks as it passes through the city of Murcia and noted that "the Deadlines".
"We are fulfilling the steps set in the schedule committed to all affected groups," counselor Pedro Rivera insisted, adding that these advances "are facts, commitments fulfilled by the regional government, the Ministry of Development, Adif and the City of Murcia, for the burying of the tracks ".
The counselor highlighted, after the presentation of the situation of the projects in the meeting of the Social Commission of Follow-up of the Works of Burying the Railroad in Murcia, presided over by the president of Adif, Juan Bravo, that the provisional road will be completed in June and it would be put into operation at the end of August for all current rail traffic (commuter, merchandise and medium and long distance).
From then on, the security tests will begin to be ready for commercial exploitation.
The counselor stressed that "despite the incidents in the works, progress is being made in the burial and the arrival of High Speed" and said that to achieve the "objective of all", the burial, "we must let the company so that the works follow their good rhythm and we can eliminate as soon as possible the roads, which divide the city for 150 years ".
Pedro Rivera asked for "responsibility to all those who make affirmations referred to the security that can generate social alarm", because "there are professionals behind that certify that they are safe projects".
He also highlighted the "exercise of transparency and social participation that is being made by Adif in this commission."
Continuous progress of the works
In the course of the meeting, it was stated that 222 meters have already been buried on the beach of roads around the station of El Carmen, which, according to the counselor, "reveals that the commitment to burying is real".
Likewise, the burial projects for the El Carmen-Barriomar and Nonduermas stations were reported, which will be completed in May and, then, in compliance with the initial commitment, the works will be tendered in the spring.
The placement of the elevated pedestrian walkway at the level crossing of Santiago El Mayor, whose elimination is a historical demand of the neighbors, was also addressed.
The objective of this infrastructure is to guarantee the passage of neighbors from one side of the road to another, during the execution of the underground works, after which it will be dismantled.
The counselor stressed that it is "a temporary and completely safe passageway" so that neighbors can move from one side of the road to another on a continuous basis, since today it is interrupted 90 times a day, coinciding with the circulation of trains. commuter, goods and medium and long distance.
