The number of workers affiliated with Social Security in Murcia stood at 210,773 in the last month of December.
This figure, 0.58% higher than in November, is the highest recorded since July 2008. With respect to December 2016, there are a total of 10,520 more affiliated workers.
If the evolution of the last twelve months is taken as a reference, there is an increase in the number of affiliated workers of 5.25%, compared to 3.89% and 3.32% registered at the regional and national levels, respectively.
Regarding the affiliation regimes, 80.38% of the workers belong to the General Regime.
Next, in order of importance, the Special Regime of Autonomous Workers (13.76%), Domestic Workers (3.00%), Special Agrarian System (2.85%) and the Special Regime of the Sea (0.01%). %).
Attending to the different sectors of activity, it is the service sector that concentrates the great majority of workers in the municipality of Murcia, with 83.61% of affiliations.
Industry (8.12%), construction (4.59%) and primary sector (3.68%) complete the relationship.
Finally, regarding the different groups of activity, trade brings together about one fifth of workers (19.06%), and health and social services activities, with 14.31%, are configured as main sectors that more employment concentrate within the Murcian economic activity.
