The PSOE asks the PP how much time it takes to facilitate nursing in nursery schools after 16 months of the agreement (20/11/2017)

Maite Espinosa recalls that there are 125,000 euros budgeted, so she states that "with this attitude of the government team of not taking the agreements seriously, it is difficult to move forward and resolve the shortcomings of our municipality."

The Municipal Socialist Group has been interested again in the nursing service in nursery schools, as in July 2016 unanimously approved the motion that claimed to provide a health professional in schools for children in the municipality.

Therefore, councilor Maite Espinosa asks the government team, the PP, how much time you need to fulfill this agreement, since 16 months have passed since it was discussed in the House.

He also states that "the PP can not make us an excuse as on other occasions that budgets are not approved, because precisely one of the conditions of the Municipal Socialist Group in negotiating them was to include a line to finance nursing."

In this regard, Espinosa says there is a budget of 125,000 euros, so "I do not understand what they are waiting for when the course is over and there is money" and adds that "with this attitude of the government team not to be taken seriously the agreements, it is difficult to move forward and solve the shortcomings of our municipality. "

Similarly, the councilor recalls that in the same agreement of 2016 required to ask the departments of Health and Education to study health care in schools "and today we do not know if at least these departments have been contacted in this regard "

In addition, explains that "this request does not respond to any whim, but to the great work that can be performed by a professional nurse with control functions and monitoring of students with diseases, to detect early health problems, facilitate the integration of students with physical, mental or social problems, provide health care or to prevent health problems and create a healthy and safe environment, among other tasks.

And he adds that the opportunity of the motion was to follow the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the Council of Europe, which define in different texts and documents the need to promote in the school environment the acquisition of knowledge that promotes the development of healthy lifestyles.
