The Civil Guard dismantles a clandestine greenhouse in Murcia dedicated to the illicit cultivation of marijuana (24/08/2017)

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the second phase of the operation 'CÁNTICA', a research framed in services established to prevent and prosecute drug trafficking, which has resulted in the disarticulation of a point of cultivation and manipulation Of marijuana in Murcia and the arrest of the three people who allegedly directed it.

The investigation began earlier this year when civil guards specializing in the prevention of citizen safety detected the alleged linkage of a family clan residing in the Murcian hamlet of Torreagüera with criminal activities related to drug trafficking.

This first phase of the operation culminated in the beginning of August with the arrest of the three members of a family clan, such as suspected perpetrators of drug trafficking and illicit possession of arms, who were seized in the household register in The Murcian hamlet of Torreagüera large amount of drug 225 gr.

Of cocaine, 320 gr.

Of heroin, 94 gr.

Of marijuana and 83 gr.

After the first phase, civil guards continued the operation in order to detect and eliminate other important drug outlets in different districts.

The agents detected that part of the drug seized at the point of sale dismantled in Torreagüera could come from one of the social housing located in Los Ramos, so a strong surveillance device was established on these properties.

The device bore fruit shortly after locating a plantation of marijuana of considerable dimensions in the courtyard of one of the social housing monitored.

In addition the resident of the house and two other young people who used to frequent the property were identified.

Once obtained all the necessary indications and previous judicial authorization, the Civil Guard has carried out the entrance and the registry of the house, where it has dismantled a cultivation of cannabis sativa from outside, that at that moment they were with a dozen plants Fitted and arranged for cutting and drying, in addition to locate in the dining room cupboard a precision scale for weighing and subsequent retail sale of the substance.

Inside the house, a clandestine indoor greenhouse has been dismantled, with all the necessary elements for its future production, such as half a hundred professional lights, osmosis equipment, odor filters, extractors, a score of fans, eight equipment Air conditioning and large amount of fertilizers.

At the end of the search, the agents have arrested the three suspects as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of cultivation and processing of narcotic substances, the fraud of electric fluid after verifying the illicit connection to the electric fluid and damages for the considerable damages caused in a social housing occupied by Illegal way by one of the arrested, arriving to present perforations in the structure of the property.

From the investigation, it appears that the criminal group produced and distributed narcotic substances on both the retail and the large scale through the dismantled point of sale.

The arrested, the drug seized, the effects seized and the investigations have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Murcia.
