The pianos will again occupy squares and streets of Murcia next Saturday May 6.

The amateur performers will perform from 11 am to 8.30 pm while professionals will offer recitals from 9.30 pm.

The second edition of 'Pianos en la calle', organized by the Department of Employment, Tourism and Culture, Klavier and Clamo Music, aims to turn the historical center into a gigantic stage for the promotion of musical talent and for the enjoyment of citizens.

The City of Murcia has bet on the continuity of this event given the great success harvested on the first occasion in which more than 200 performers participated and was attended by hundreds of spectators.

On this occasion will expand the scenarios that in 2016 were the squares of Santo Domingo, Belluga, Santa Catalina and Sculptor Gonzalez Moreno.

The places chosen in this edition are the Plaza de Santo Domingo and the Plaza del Cardenal Belluga with grand pianos;

The Terrace of the Mills of the River and the Wall of Verónicas with pianos of half tail;

The Plaza de Santa Eulalia, with grand piano, and Julián Romea Square which, as a novelty, will be used for a children's area with a grand piano and two small pianos, which will also be given workshops to initiate this instrument.

'Pianos in the street' will have professional interpreters and according to the forecasts will act 30 pianists from 17 countries.

From 21:30 hours you can enjoy spectacular recitals with the participants of the III International Clamo Piano Competition Region of Murcia 2017 in Plaza Cardenal Belluga, Plaza Santo Domingo and Molinos del Rio, and with a field of Murcia concerts in The Wall of Veronicas and the Plaza Santa Eulalia.

In addition, the City Council invites students from musical education centers and any interpreter who wishes to participate by signing up on the website www.pianosenlacalle.com.

Confirmation of availability of instruments and definitive confirmation will be made by e-mail and among pianists participating will draw a Piano Piano Digital.

The event also has a photo contest in which anyone can participate, whether with a mobile, a professional camera or any other type of camera.

The winner will receive a controller keyboard.

Councilor Jesús Pacheco explained that "with this event we intend to bring classical music to the general public, also offering a cultural activity, free of charge and for all ages in the public spaces of the city."
