Federation of Teaching of CCOO in the School Council of the municipality of Murcia (26/04/2017)

The representatives of the Teaching Federation of CCOO in the School Council of the municipality of Murcia present a proposal for this School Council to be named in defense of Public Education and against the extension of public funding to private companies, with the Non-compulsory levels of Bachillerato and FP.

Faced with this new attack on the Public School, which benefits entrepreneurs of private education for profit, CCOO proposes the following statement to be voted on this School Board:

"The school council of the municipality of Murcia opposes the extension of educational concerts to the non-compulsory levels of secondary education, Bachillerato and FP, considering this measure of the Regional Government, a new attack on Public Education in our Region and Our Municipality ".

We also urge the Ministry of Education and Universities to prepare an annual map of school places available in the public network and the concerted network to avoid duplication and the waste of public money and private speculation in The exercise of the fundamental right to education.

This municipal school council asks the Ministry of Education and Universities to ensure that there is a social co-responsibility between publicly owned and publicly funded centers, so that there is the same integrative and compensatory vocation of inequalities Social and educational, and to avoid discrimination of students for any reason;

Whether by socio-economic or cultural origin, religious, gender or sexual orientation, enforcing the Spanish Constitution and the Regional Law for Equality of LGTBis people.

This Municipal School Council requires the Ministry of Education and Universities to conduct and publish a public auditing of accounts and financial status of educational enterprises, to ensure compliance with the requirements established in the Transparency Law and in the Budget Law Regional, forcing all contracting to be carried out in accordance with the standards of publicity, equality of opportunity, merit and capacity, as in the recruitment of public teachers.
