Let's change Murcia criticizes the refusal of PP and PSOE to create an alternative classroom to expulsion in El Palmar (25/04/2017)

The vocal of Cambiemos Murcia in the municipal council of El Palmar, Enrique Baeza, today criticized the "irresponsible attitude" of PP and PSOE in rejecting a motion that the municipalist formation led to the plenary this month for the Department of Education to enable a Space destined to the individualized work of the students who have been expelled from the institute Marqués de los Vélez.

This proposal, which starts with a request from the school itself and has already been carried out in municipalities such as Alhama and Abarán, sought to convert a municipal space into a kind of alternative classroom to expulsion and oriented to re-education, where Meet the needs of students who have been suspended from the right to disruptive behavior assistance, as well as increase their motivation and integration.

Baeza has drawn attention to the fact that PP and PSOE did not give their support to this motion, which was approved by Citizens and Abstention Now Murcia.

"The incomprehensible stance of the Socialist Party and the PP is against meeting the demands of citizens and improving the public educational system in our hamlet," the spokesman said.

In their view, political formations demonstrate their "partisan interest" in the face of an initiative that did not respond to the interests of the parties, but to those of the neighbors and neighbors of El Palmar in general, and specifically to the educational community of Institute, where at present 700 students study, most of them studying compulsory secondary education (ESO).

According to Baeza, the argument that offered the PSOE member to overturn the motion was that he is responsible for Education within the Board and that the text had not been counted, a justification that also offered in the previous Plenary To vote against the creation of an Education Council in which neighbors and centers were represented.

"The funny thing is that the socialist vocal rejected this motion, in fact he was the only one who did, but he wants to be part of the Council once it is constituted," concluded the representative of Cambiemos Murcia.
