Health reinforces emergency resources to ensure assistance in the 'Handota Branch' (17/04/2017)

The director of the Health Emergencies Management 061 asks the citizen collaboration to facilitate the action of the health teams and enjoy the day without excesses

The Management of Emergencies and Health Emergencies 061 of the Region has organized a special device that reinforces its human and material resources to ensure proper health care tomorrow in Murcia, to mark the celebration of the Bando de la Huerta.

In order to deal with possible incidents, the hospital's emergency and out-of-hospital emergency services will be reinforced by two medical emergency units (EMUs), made up of a doctor, a nurse and a health emergency technician.

A Rapid Intervention Vehicle (VIR), equipped with a nurse and technician, will be added to reach hard-to-reach places and provide health care.

The Emergency Coordinating Center (CCU) will also be strengthened with a nurse and a command and control operator.

The coordinating nurse of the CCU, designated exclusively for this event, will be in charge, under the supervision of the chief medical coordinator of the guard, to manage all matters related to the Bando de la Huerta.

This extraordinary device has the collaboration of staff of the Emergency Department and volunteers of the local Red Cross and Civil Protection Assembly of Murcia, who will work in coordination with professionals of the Murcian Health Service.

The purpose of this operation is "to be able to provide urgent and effective attention to any event that may occur during the day of celebration," said the Director of Management, Francisco Celdrán, who requested "the cooperation of all citizens to expedite the work of The professionals that integrate this device ".

Twelve ambulances of the Red Cross, a basic life support (SVB), will operate in the device, operative from 22:00 today, and 11 from 10:00 am, of which three will be located in the Plaza Condestable, three in the Plaza Santoña, three in the grounds of Fica and two in the base of Red Cross Murcia.

From the end of the device and until 08:00 hours on Wednesday, April 19, an SVB unit of the local Red Cross Murcia Assembly will be operational.

All these SVB units will have one driver and two technicians.

Also, there will be three field hospitals that will be located in Plaza Condestable, Plaza Santoña and La Fica.

Civil Protection will install two ambulances, one in Glorieta de España, next to field hospital, and equipped with a nurse, a driver and two health emergency technicians, and another in Plaza Circular, composed by nurse, driver and a technician.

They will also have a VIR, consisting of nurse, driver and technician, and two field hospitals.

Celdrán recalled that "the majority of attentions are caused by alcohol poisoning, trauma or dizziness, among other pathologies," and insisted on the "need" to enjoy the day without excesses.

In addition, it requested the citizen collaboration to facilitate the action of the sanitary personnel during the day of the Bando de la Huerta.

Reinforcement on the emergency telephone number 1-1-2

As for the General Directorate of Citizen Security and Emergencies, under the Ministry of Presidency, tomorrow reinforces the service of the single emergency telephone 1-1-2.

Specifically, there will be 23 people, divided into night shifts (5), morning (9) and afternoon (9).

The usual service is made up of 18 people.

In addition, the Coordinating Center for Units of061, present in the room of the Emergency Coordination Center 1-1-2, will be reinforced with one nurse and two other operators.

Usually there are three medical doctors, one nurse and six operators.

During the celebration of the Bando de la Huerta in 2016 the emergency telephone number 1-1-2 answered a total of 3,192 calls.
