The Town Hall plant, in just three months, more than 500 new trees in Murcia and districts (13/04/2017)

The Department of Modernization of Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, through the Service of Parks and Gardens, continues to bet on improving, expanding and conditioning the green areas and spaces in Murcia and districts.

Proof of this is that in only three months has been planted more than half thousand copies, especially orange, mulberry, almeces or palm trees.

A work, said Councilman José Guillén, that has developed "in all places of the municipality we have seen necessary to replant these new copies as in the artillery barracks, the garden of Salitre or the districts of Espinardo and Palmar."

The specimens are always planted following clear guidelines: that the new tree roots and develops normally.

To do this, it is usually better to improve the soil, to review or improve the irrigation system and to place one or several tutors that allow a good development.

These works have been carried out by a dozen people from the month of January until March, although a remittance of copies is reserved for any incidence produced outside this period.
