For more than an hour, Councilor for Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz, accompanied by a multidisciplinary technical team and representatives of disability groups, has made a "Path of Accessibility of the Neighborhood of Santa Eulalia", within the participatory process Of the new intervention model in neighborhoods "Murcia ADN-Urbano".

The objective of the initiative was to identify the "black spots" of the surrounding streets that prevent today a neighborhood without barriers.

In addition, it has been carried out with the commitment to take into account all the proposals that arise from this itinerary to incorporate them among the thousand actions that will be executed within a week.

During the tour, physical and visual obstacles in the neighborhood, especially deteriorated sidewalks, asphalt breaks, badly placed signs, etc. have been analyzed.

In this way, the realization of this route will serve to "identify the public spaces of Santa Eulalia with criteria of universal accessibility, advancing in our objective to guarantee the right that we all have to move through the city and to do it with freedom, without obstacles that we Make difficult or comfort, "says Conchita Ruiz, who recalled the commitment to continue with the creation of integration routes that span the entire city.

The main elements to be acted upon are sidewalks, curb height, pedestrian crossings, traffic lights and street lamps, bollards, bars, information panels, etc.
