The PSOE denounces the state of streets of San José de la Vega, impassable and dangerous for pedestrians (11/04/2017)

The Socialist Municipal Group denounces the state in which there are several streets of the hamlet of San José de la Vega, since "they appear as if they had left them in the midst of urbanization, between abandoned lots, that narrow in some sections and without sidewalks , Which implies a real risk for the neighbors, explains the councilor Maite Espinosa.

In addition, "these are downtown streets, surrounded by houses, with a constant traffic, both rolled and pedestrians, so it is necessary to intervene," says Espinosa, who remembers that the state of these streets are also the result of a "Poor planning, because on the avenue of San Fernando could have taken advantage of the existing public land to widen the street and improve traffic."

Espinosa, who visited the hamlet, accompanied by council members Susana Hernández and Juan Vicente Larrosa, and the petitioning mayor, Lidia Almagro, collected the demand to build a multipurpose building on the aforementioned public lot and also create a leisure garden.

In addition, the councilors verified the danger of the playground, surrounded by a stone wall in which there has already been an accident, in addition to having the rubber floor raised.

Likewise, the mayor again requested the extension of the office with a room for cures.

For all this, Espinosa states that "the districts of the municipality are light years from any neighborhood of the city in terms of paving, playgrounds, cleaning, security ... and we are not talking about minor works or low impact, but investments that Would improve the quality of life of citizens and, above all, and more important, their safety.
