More than 500 children from ethnic minorities will benefit until the end of the year of the scholarships of dining room that funds the City of Murcia, and that this course supposes an expense of 356,000 euros.
The Board of Governors, at the proposal of the Department of Social Rights, managed by Conchita Ruiz, today approved the expenditure of 230,000 euros to pay these scholarships to 510 students from 85 schools during the second and third quarter, which add to the 126,000 euros budgeted for scholarships from September to December, benefiting 548 children under 87 schools.
These school support measures aim to promote the full integration of socially disadvantaged children in situations of vulnerability or exclusion.
This project is part of the complementary actions promoted by the Department of Social Rights to ensure coverage of the most basic needs of minors, such as food, transportation and the means for equal access to other children.
The Social Services Centers make the proposals of the minors who need this special support, based on the knowledge of the families of origin, acting as a reinforcement measure of the intervention that is performed with them, always seeking the improvement of The living conditions of minors, both socially and educationally.
