The PSOE elevates to the Congress of the Deputies the problematic of the workers of Assistance to Domicilio (06/04/2017)

The national deputies María González Veracruz and Rafael Simancas present a question to the Congress table, in view of the seriousness of the problem of the employees of Home Help, to know what the Rajoy Government is doing - if it is doing something - to avoid this type Of situations

The councilor of the Municipal Socialist Group, Susana Hernández, today reported on the question registered in the Bureau of the Congress of Deputies by socialist deputies María González Veracruz and Rafael Simancas, in relation to the difficult situation that the workers of Home Help , Who have always felt unprotected by the PP, in favor of the concessionaire.

A few days ago both deputies, together with the councilor of the Socialist Group Susana Hernandez, held a meeting with these employees during one of their daily days of vindication against the City of Murcia.

"Since the PSOE we have been together with them from minute one, taking motions to the Plenary, joining their protests, demanding solutions and making public their situation and the abandonment by the city council of a problem that should be held responsible and should not Have allowed, "said the mayor Susana Hernandez, who added that" from the Socialist Group we said that we were going to get as far as we needed and we continue to maintain, getting to raise this issue that we are ashamed as part of the Municipal Corporation Until the Congress of Deputies ".

González Veracruz and Simancas, on behalf of the Socialist Parliamentary Group in Congress, have addressed the following issues to the Ministry of Employment and Social Security:

- Does the Ministry intend to take an interest in the situation of these workers?

- Are you willing to intercede and mediate before the City of Murcia and the company responsible for finding an appropriate and rapid solution to the problem?

- Do you intend to take measures so that these situations are not repeated with workers of companies that provide services or works for the Administrations?

"It is a question of not only solving an unsustainable situation for hundreds of women who have even had to organize food pick-ups and solidarity markets. This is to protect employees who carry out jobs and municipal services, which do not Are officials, but whose work is carried out on behalf of the City of Murcia. It is also a question of avoiding that the shameful situation that has been going on for many years by the Helpers at Home - a situation provoked by the decisions of the PP that for years has protected the Company - is repeated with other workers of municipal services, "Hernández said.

The councilor of the Socialist Group has recalled that "in the effort of the PP to outsource everything, has remained on the road the concern to ensure the dignified treatment of 'semi-public' employees and the quality of service offered."

"We expect the Ministry's response to this issue and we also expect the commitment of the PP at the national level and the PP in La Glorieta. Home Help workers can not continue doing their daily lives without their payroll and at the gates of the City waiting to be heard It is an unworthy treatment that nobody deserves but that is even more bleeding when it comes to employees who provide a municipal service, "concluded Susana Hernández.
