The City Council will inform the Government Delegation of breaches of protesters in the agricultural sector (05/04/2017)

The City Council, through Local Police, will prepare a report of all the breaches carried out today by the organizers of the manifestation of the agricultural sector of the Campo de Cartagena, as well as the consequences that this has led to the normal functioning of the City and its public services.

This report will be transferred to the Government Delegation and the National Police to denounce the situation caused by the breach of the terms in which the call for such mobilization was reported.

According to this communication, tractors and trucks should have left the city at 2.30 p.m. and under no circumstances could they park on public roads, which have been manifestly unfulfilled.

On the other hand, the demonstration has seriously affected urban traffic and public transport, buses and trams, as neither the schedule nor the established itineraries have been respected.

Local Police has had to establish a special device with a hundred agents to reduce as much as possible the incidence in traffic, in an attempt to mitigate as much as possible the magnitude of the consequences caused on the normal development of the city.

The Mayor contacted the government delegate as soon as the conflict began to seek a solution to this problem.

The Councilor for Traffic and Security, Lola Sánchez, is now in the Government Delegation to hold a meeting with the Delegate and the State security forces and the Local Police.

In addition, the City Council is studying with the legal services the possibility of carrying out other actions in defense of the general interests of Murcia.
