The University of Murcia (UMU) today celebrated an act in which cards have been handed out which will allow access to the sports facilities of the same by refugees.
The cards have been delivered to the entities of the Third Sector: Cepaim Foundation, Red Cross and Accem, which will send them to those who request them.
The coordinator of the Plan Refugium of the University of Murcia, Professor Natalia Moraes, explained that this initiative is part of one of the lines of action of the same, as is the integration of refugees in the university.
During this course, the UMU has implemented other actions in this regard, such as a program of language courses for refugees or actions for them to access the computer rooms of the institution.
The event, which has been held in the Convalescence building, was led by the UMU rector, José Orihuela, and by the Vice-rector of Social Responsibility, Transparency and Equality, María del Carmen López, who have stated that the University Is strongly committed to this humanitarian drama.
