A hundred young people from five institutes of the municipality today attended the II Conference of Participation where they have been able to present and discuss with the Mayor, José Ballesta, his proposals to improve Murcia.
During the last months and through the youth correspondents of the Department of Youth and Development Cooperation, students from different institutes have carried out a process of gathering proposals for urban mobility, sustainability, leisure, culture and youth participation.
Thus, during the II Conference on Neighborhood Participation, different suggestions have been made, such as the creation of an assistant in Google maps that generates the shortest route in public transport, the extension of MUyBICI stations, the extension of pedestrian zones, Reduction of spending on holiday lighting with a modern and attractive design and the elimination of billboards in certain places.
In addition, young people have proposed more shaded areas in the green spaces, new workout areas, more activities during the summer, extended library hours at the time of exams and youth centers with Wi-Fi, study area ...
