The PSOE of El Esparragal denounces a wave of robberies 'in broad daylight' and demands greater police presence (28/03/2017)

The hamlet of El Esparragal has long suffered a wave of robberies that has led the neighbors to mobilize to demand more police presence in the area and to denounce a situation that has become their day to day.

"Robberies and vandalism happen almost daily, sometimes there are more than one in the same day and happen in broad daylight. Neighbors feel insecure and claim, as do members of the Municipal Board, that bodies And security forces are coordinated so that El Esparragal is provided with more personnel and means to end this lack of protection that we suffer.

This was explained by the PSOE spokesman in the Municipal Council of the hamlet, Andres Perez, who added that "the problem is such that the security measures of some homes have been able to prevent their theft."

Pérez has indicated that "two years ago we have been denouncing this situation that is repeated all along the bank of the Azarbe and that keeps the neighbors in vile. Robberies are being carried out in houses, garages, industrial warehouses ... Some residents have suffered more Of a robbery, so they feel totally defenseless before a wave that worsens because the police presence has not increased at any time.

The socialist spokesman in El Esparragal has also stated that the criminals seem to be perfectly organized "and are not afraid to commit thefts and vandalism in broad daylight."

In this sense, the Councilor of the Socialist Municipal Group, Juan Vicente Larrosa, has once again demanded that the Department of Security and the government of Ballesta "to put on the table once again solutions to growing insecurity in the municipality" and recalled that Last year the PSOE denounced up to three times the waves of robberies and vandalism that were suffering the districts.

"More than a year ago the Socialist Group denounced along with pedobas and spokespersons of the PSOE in different municipal councils, the waves of robberies that were being suffered by the neighbors and neighbors of the districts and the lack of police presence", explained Larrosa, who has "It is urgent that new Local Police posts be convened and that coordination between the Civil Guard, the National Police and the Local Police is improved so that Their presence is organized and we do not find areas where thefts are easy to commit with impunity. "

The Municipal Socialist Group insists that this situation is not exceptional and asks Ballesta and his council members not to look the other way and listen to the neighbors, in this case of El Esparragal, to respond to an unsustainable situation.
