Let's change Murcia offers to take to the plenary the claims of the Pro Platform City Hall of El Palmar (24/03/2017)

Let's change Murcia has offered to the Pro Platform City Council of El Palmar transfer their demands to the Town Hall Plenary to begin the process of segregation of the hamlet, which currently has 22,897 inhabitants according to the 2015 census.

This way they have been transferred in a meeting the councilors of the municipalist formation, Margarita Guerrero and Sergio Ramos, and the member in the Palmar, Enrique Baeza, to members of the said Platform, within the meetings that this carries out with the formations Policies.

Ramos highlighted the "great level of coincidence" between the Platform and Cambiemos Murcia, and recalled that this organization approved in one of its first assemblies, after the last municipal elections, support the constitution of the City of El Palmar.

The mayor has opted for an asymmetric model in which the most populous districts have legal personality and their own bodies for the implementation of policies, combining this with citizen participation and management by the Consistory in those with less population.

All this "from a clarification of the powers between the City Council and the municipal councils" through a reform of the Regulation of Citizen Participation, has added Ramos, who has highlighted the meeting "great difficulties" to manage those facing the Junta of El Palmar before the "institutional blockade" of the PP to the governments of the change.

"A blockade that the City Council has been carrying out for years to this neighborhood petition, endorsed by more than 8,600 signatures for the initiation of the segregation procedure."
