The contract was awarded for 854,139 euros to UTE Colector Murcia (made up of the companies Prointec-Ayesa), after sending two letters to the Minister García Tejerina, in which José Ballesta expressed his firm intention to "definitively end the Flood problems that Murcia periodically suffers every time an episode of intense rains happens (three in the last four months).

The drafting of the project of the works of the interceptor collector of the northern zone of the City of Murcia has a period of execution of 8 months, after which will begin the process of contracting this work "priority for Murcia", which will allow To avoid flooding in the north of Murcia, intercepting the rainwater of the Ramblas of Churra, El Puntal, Espinardo and Guadalupe.
