200 new trees will compensate for the emissions generated to produce electricity to be consumed during the WAM Festival (20/03/2017)

The Councilor for Employment, Culture and Tourism, Jesús Pacheco, participated this morning, along with the director of the Sierra Espuña Park, Andrés Muñoz, the director of Estrella de Levante, Patricio Valverde, and Francisco Victoria of the Office of Socioeconomic and Medium Impulse Environment of the Region of Murcia in the planting of 200 trees in the park of Sierra Espuña, with the aim of completely compensating the emissions generated to produce the electricity to be consumed during the course of the WAM Festival to be held next May.

Estrella de Levante, which adheres to the 'Corporate Social Responsibility Applied to Climate Change' (RSCO2) initiative, maintains its commitment to sustainability and the reduction of the carbon footprint not only in its productive area , But also in all activities related to the brand.

This way the initiative of Estrella de Levante is maintained to promote actions of reforestation by different points of the Region of Murcia and that began a year ago with the planting of 200 almeces in the right margin of the river Segura when passing through Murcia, taking advantage of The celebration of the Day of the Tree.

As patrons of the Caravaca Jubilar Foundation, they will also continue to plant different tree species in the greenway of the Northwest and in the section of access to the Castle of Caravaca de la Cruz, framed within the celebration of the Jubilee year of Caravaca de la Caravaca Cross.
