To help economically the students of the University of Murcia (UMU) participating in a mobility program managed by the International Relations Area of ​​this educational institution is the objective of the short story contest that, for the twelfth consecutive year, the academic entity And the Thader Shopping Center.
The contest, which also has as one of its aims to promote literary activities among university students, is endowed with 10,000 euros in prizes, which can be obtained from UMU students who have an international mobility scholarship for the 2017-2018 academic year .
The stories must be original and unpublished and, on the occasion of the launching of the Plan RefugiUM of the University of Murcia, on experiences lived by those people who as a result of different conflicts are forced to leave their countries of origin in search of shelter.
The works will have to be sent or delivered, within a deadline ending on April 21, to one of the offices of the International Relations Service of the UMU (Edificio Rector Loustau of the Merced campus and Rector Soler Building of the campus of Espinardo).
