The councilor of Cambiemos murcia Nacho Tornel today asked the City Council to move the sculpture of Elisa Séiquer "Children playing" to the newly opened square, which bears the name of this artist, next to the Museum of the City, institution of which part The initiative to dedicate to the author this space.
This work, one of the best known of Séiquer (1945-1996), is currently in the Garden of the Three Cups, in the neighborhood of the Fleet, and before passed through the Garden of the Malecón and the Municipal Deposit.
Precisely, on Friday the Consistory paid tribute to the sculptor, who graduated in Murcia, Valencia, Madrid and Paris, participated in the Universal Exhibition in Seville and was the first woman to win the Francisco Salzillo Prize for Sculpture
