Hundreds of people participate in 'Estampa huertana: Traditions and customs' (11/03/2017)

The councilor of Urbanism, Huerta and environment, Antonio Navarro Corchón, visited this morning the grounds of La Azacaya where the event 'Estampa huertana: Tradiciones y costumbres' was held, scheduled within the II Semana de la Huerta.

Thus, throughout the morning have been different activities such as an exhibition and demonstrations of folklore huertano, exhibition of breeds of native animals of Murcia, exhibition of colombiculture, exhibition of crafts and crafts of the garden, walk along the lanes of the orchard in Carts and carriages, and tasting typical products of the garden.

One of the activities that have been most welcomed has been the carriage ride through vegetable lanes between Los Dolores and Beniaján, where the participants have been able to contemplate the singularity of the landscape of the orchard with its trees, crops, armbands and dwellings.

The group 'Los Amigos' and the Peñas Huertanas have also acted and poems have been read in panocho by Emilio Soler Poveda, of L'Ajuntaera

This event has been coordinated by the Association of Friends of the Huerta Azacaya and the Department of Urbanism, Garden and Environment and has had the collaboration of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Environment, the Institute Murciano Agricultural Research and Development and Alimentación, the Federation of Peñas Huertanas, the Federation of Colombicultura of the Region of Murcia, Airemar Feeding, Ganacultura.

In the different activities have participated the Cuadrilla Los Amigos, L'Ajuntaera, Manuel Martinez Ros, Juan Jose Ballester Ponce, Pienso Olmos, Copele, Peña El Carro and carriage, Peña The car, Peña Carreteros de Rio, Esparto Workshops of the Centers Cultures of Los Dolores, El Esparragal and Llano de Brujas and Rincón Huertano de Murcia.
