The Governing Board has approved an expenditure of 10,870 euros to continue, until the end of the school year, to the occupational classroom of Espinardo, attended by 15 children under 14 and 15, who have had serious problems of school absenteeism.
The classroom, fruit of the agreement between the Ministry of Education and universities and the City of Murcia, is one of the measures included in the Regional Plan for School Absenteeism and the Municipal Absenteeism Program.
Dedicated to activities related to mechanics and the motor has two professors attached to the IES José Planes de Espinardo and a social educator of support provided by the municipal social services that carries out tasks of support to the children in attendance and with their families.
In this way, both activities related to regulated training and pre-employment activities are developed, for the reincorporation of minors into educational circuits and their future preparation for labor insertion.
The results of this socio-educational resource usually approach 100% success, either through its incorporation to the school to finish its studies, or through its incorporation into other training cycles.
