Tenderers can now submit bids to smaller contracts through the municipal website (10/03/2017)

According to data from the Procurement Service, the total amount tendered for minor contracts during the 2016 financial year was 1,506,491.65 euros, which was finally awarded by 27.22% less.

The Board of Governors has approved the adaptation of the procedure for electronic processing of minor contracts which allows tenderers to submit their bids through the electronic platform of the City Council, something that, from now on, will be carried out exclusively by way of Telematics

Thus, in the Profile of the Employer of the municipal website www.murcia.es has already incorporated a section that includes the processes of minor contracts, those whose maximum amount is 50,000 euros, excluding VAT, in the works, and 18,000 euros, VAT excluded, in the rest of contracts.

In this way, the principles governing public procurement, such as publicity, transparency, concurrence and efficient use of public resources, now adds agility and simplicity, allowing contractors to know from any computer what process is the File at any time.

Likewise, with this system it will no longer be necessary to move to municipal offices, since the whole process can be done in a telematic way.

Submission of tenders to minor contracts can therefore only be made in electronic form and prior publication of the corresponding call in the bidding portal.

According to data from the Procurement, Supply and Asset Liability Service, the total amount tendered for minor contracts during the 2016 financial year was 1,506,491 euros, which was finally awarded in 1,096,457 euros, or 27.22% Less, which meant a saving for the City of 410,034 euros.

It should be recalled that the Department of Finance and Contracting has already held several information days addressed to suppliers in order to learn first hand the operation of this system of electronic procurement
