The City Council will support the judicial decisions for the payment of the payroll of the Home Help workers. The Legal Services, following instructions from the Mayor, informed the Court that the Local Administration will collaborate with the measur (09/03/2017)

The City Council is willing to collaborate with any precautionary measures adopted by the Court for the payment of the payrolls of the Aid to Home workers.

The works council asked the social jurisdiction to order a freezing of payments of the City Council to the mercantile awarded by the contract to provide this service.

The Mayor, who last days held a meeting with legal representatives and works council, instructed the Legal Services to appear in the Social Court, along with lawyers and workers, to convey the full disposition of the City Council To collaborate with justice in what is dictated, be it the embargo or any other way aimed at protecting the interests of the staff.

On the other hand, the City has a file on sanctioning the company awarded the contract for breach of three contractual obligations, giving continuity to the phases established by the administrative procedure.

Likewise, at the moment of the bidding process, the new set of specific administrative clauses and technical requirements for the contracting of this benefit for a period of two and a half years, a budget of 14.2 million euros.

The objective is to guarantee a quality service for home help users and adequate working conditions for the workers who provide it.
