The City Council pays homage to women who make their way in the world of sports and the elderly (08/03/2017)

Laura Gil, the first female Olympic medalist in the municipality, receives the 'Murcia in Equality' award.

Laura Gil, 24, was born in the borough of Santo Ángel, Murcia, but at the age of 14 moved to the neighborhood of Vistabella.

The City Council already recognized his work with a tribute in the Hall of Plenary, after winning the Olympic silver last summer.
