Young Murcia will learn English this summer in the British Isles in language stays organized by the Town Hall (05/03/2017)

The Governing Board has given a green light to the list of administrative clauses for the recruitment by open procedure of the organization of language stays in the British Isles this year.

The action is aimed at 125 young people between the ages of 15 and 25 who can learn another language during this summer in the British Isles and for this the City has allocated an amount of 195,250 euros.

Thus, the City of Murcia contributes to expand the training of young people of the municipality in foreign languages, given the demands of the current job market.

Experience shows that in order to obtain a good knowledge of other languages ​​it is advisable to spend some time in the country of the language studied.

These stays are the ideal complement to achieve greater fluency in the language studied, while having a great formative value in putting young people in contact with other cultures.

For all this and in order to satisfy the public interest, the City of Murcia, through the Department of Youth and Development Cooperation, directed by Rebeca Pérez, aware of the convenience for young people to perform these stays, and after assessing positively The experiences made in previous years in this area, has convened these 125 seats.

These stays will include a course with a minimum of 45 teaching hours, which will be awarded academic certificate of participation, accommodation and full board in British families, with the aim of encouraging greater linguistic immersion and a program of extra-curricular activities, such as Excursions, visits to museums and places of interest, etc.
