Murcia will be the national capital of the performing arts by the social inclusion from 3 to 5 May (03/03/2017)

The city will become, for three days, the artistic focus of culture for integration, a scenario in which innovative national and international proposals will be represented.

The event will be attended by 250 professionals from all over Spain and the public can also enjoy open performances in squares and streets.

The Teatro Circo will be the headquarters of this meeting promoted by INAEM, which will also be held at Romea, the Pupaclown Scenic Center and the School of Dramatic Art in Murcia.

The city of Murcia has been chosen by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport to host the IX Conference on social inclusion and education in the performing arts, which will take place from 3 to 5 May, and this year are held under The motto 'Bodies in movement'.

The event will be attended by 250 professionals from all over Spain from different backgrounds: artists, educators, representatives of institutions and cultural managers.

There will be debates, communications and workshops to be held at the Teatro Circo as its main venue, the Teatro Romea, the Pupaclown Scenic Center and the School of Dramatic Arts in Murcia.

Also, the program of the conference includes shows and artistic microactions open to the public.

"In addition to the official scenarios, the city's gardens, avenues and squares will host open, innovative and transformative artistic shows that will have a common link: culture as a means of integration, suppression of barriers and celebration of diversity," Said the mayor.

Thus, Murcia hosts for the first time these days that since 2009 have been carried out in Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Seville, Pamplona and A Coruña.

Pupaclown, space and fundamental project for the Inclusion Days

The artistic team of Pupaclown Scenic Center for prestige, trajectory and artistic excellence, has been chosen to open the days with the "Cartography of a Diverse Body" tour.

In the action that takes place in the center will be addressed the integration and the normalization through the circus art.

In addition, the next day will hold a workshop where he will review his artistic and scenic trajectory, from its beginnings to conform the scenic community that is today.

To do this, they will put on their boards the Pupaclown Scenic Center (a pioneering project in the scenic architecture oriented towards social inclusion) their main weapons for the integration of children and young people, in a standardized environment.

The ESAD (High School of Dramatic Art), headquarters of the state meeting of Conservatories

In addition, ESAD will host the State Encounter of Higher Schools of Dramatic Arts and Superior Conservatories of Dance on May 5, which will involve practically all of the centers in Spain.

It will discuss the problems and challenges of accessibility for people with sensory and motor disabilities, as well as the curriculum for higher education in the performing arts.
