The VIII Olympiad of Geology of the Region of Murcia, in whose organization the University of Murcia (UMU) and the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT) participate, will be held tomorrow, March 3, in the building of Minas and Navales Institution from 10:00 hours.

It is open to the participation of students from the ESO room and first and second Baccalaureate students enrolled in the current course in secondary education institutes in the Region of Murcia.

The conveners also include the Spanish Association for the Teaching of Earth Sciences and the Geological Society of Spain.

The organizing committee belongs to the UMU, professors Asunción Alías Linares, Francisco Guillén Mondéjar, Joaquín Hernández Bastida, Pura Marín Sanleandro, Roque Ortiz Silla and Carmen Pérez Sirvent.

The Olympiad is funded by the Seneca Foundation.
