The Ministry of Finance of the Region of Murcia has awarded the Innovation Award in Administration to the University of Murcia for the project "Clara" for the implementation of an open system of acquisition of minor expenditure in the area of ​​Applied ICT of the Educational institution (ATICA).

The project is an innovative web and mobile application that provides total, absolute and immediate transparency in the purchase of all minor expenses (less than € 18,000) made in ATICA in the last year.

Likewise, the application facilitates the search of suppliers, while favoring competition and optimizing the time spent managing the expenditure of teachers and researchers.

The University of Murcia will extend this system, easy to implement in any other public administration, to all its centralized units and to any faculties and departments that wish to use it, within the transparency policy of the current rectoral team.
