Murcia will become a national benchmark in road safety next week (30/09/2016)

Road Week, to be held from 7 to 16 next month, will offer children's workshops, and rollover simulators alcohol and drugs and driving courses roundabouts, traffic bike or wheel change, among other activities

The collaboration between the Department of Traffic and Public Safety and the Regional Association of Schools of Murcia will allow Murcia hosting a unique event in Spain thanks to which, by holding various activities for a week, is to place the city as benchmark in road safety.

From 7 to 16 October, Vial Week, the Road Safety Week, will offer activities designed to instill in Murcia the importance of respecting the basic rules of the road.

On Friday October 7 the Hall of outbuilding to the City will host the conference of the various morning papers in which they will review and discuss the importance of road safety, and what actions you can take to reduce casualties and wounded.

So, Professor of Road Safety at the University of Valencia and president of the Spanish Foundation for Traffic Safety, Luis Montoro, will speak on 'Road safety, new technologies and autonomous driving: problems and future challenges' while Roberto Ramos, Road safety specialist of the National Confederation of Driving Schools, will give a lecture on 'Biodynamics of an accident and why passive safety'.

Later, a panel discussion on 'How to reduce road accidents work?' Will be held.

Saturday October 8, 11 to 14 and from 17.30 to 20 hours, and Sunday October 9, from 11 to 14 hours, the Plaza de Santo Domingo and Alfonso X Avenue will be the scene of many workshops and activities intended for drivers, families and children.

Thus, effective Guardia Civil, Local Police, Fire and Health Services will make a display of vehicles, equipment and personnel, where citizens will show all actions carried out to improve road safety for all.

On Saturday 15 November at 13.30 in the Plaza de Santo Domingo and Alfonso X Avenue will host a theoretical and practical journey that will travel in different groups streets of Murcia, where instructors will teach how to ride the bike safely.

Finally, on Sunday 16 at 10.30 am will begin the Mototurística Road 'road safety' due out at 10.30 am and will travel Alhama de Murcia, Mazarrón Espuña and, among other places, coming to Cartagena.

Throughout the week, from 7 to 16 October two points of information to citizens will be installed in the Plaza Santo Domingo and the Avenida de la Libertad in order to report on activities, workshops and conferences.
