Inspired by the Anglo-Saxon model, the president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, has opted for a modern university that integrates sport in their DNA and therefore, since its founding, almost twenty years ago, the UCAM has become a reference within the Spanish university sports.

In addition to the great success of the Olympians in Rio 16, must be added many other facets in which is evident the support of the UCAM for sport: three professional teams competing at the highest level in basketball (Liga Endesa and Eurocup) football (Laliga 1,2,3) and table tennis (Superdivision and Champions League), first place in the Championship of Spain University for four consecutive years beating the record of medals, top-level research in the field of health and sport focused on sports performance, prevention of sudden death, the fight against doping and sports nutrition and teaching first-level Vocational Training (TAFAD), graduate studies (CAFD) and master's degrees in various fields of sport (management and leadership, psychology, physical therapy, communication ...).
