Let's change Murcia calls for equitable criteria for hiring institutional advertising (27/09/2016)

Let's change Councilman Sergio Ramos Murcia asked in plenary on Thursday the creation of a municipal plan that sets goals and equitable criteria to be followed in the recruitment of institutional advertising of the council with the media.

For Ramos, this plan is critical because currently each council contracts for each project without any overall objective, which means that the city does not have an established brand and lacks a way to communicate in advertising evenly.

These criteria should take into account the specification and scope of work of the media, the audience, the number of copies sold and the impact on the electronic formats that are available through the Internet, as well as its implementation in the municipality.

The mayor has argued that, to prevent advertising remains concentrated in a few ways, a shift system for the media entered in the register of companies that want to hire with the Consistory, prioritizing the media to report on current developments in Murcia is established and their villages.

The initiative also raises the need for a report involving the departments and autonomous bodies in order to determine depending on which guidelines have been established contracts since the beginning of the legislature, detailing the means that have received and what amounts.

As the press office of the City Council, Ramos has claimed that resources are shared for both the services of the municipal institution as autonomous bodies and local groups, and not just for the government team.
