Councilman Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesus Pacheco, presided this morning the meeting 'Green Jobs: Mobility and Tourism', set in the programming of the European Mobility Week and in which participated representatives of the Association of Hotels and tourist Accommodation of Murcia, the Association of Travel Agencies of Murcia, in the Murcia Congress Office and other tourism businesses.
The meeting has discussed the current situation of the economic activity carried on based on empowerment measures undertaken since the municipal policy to promote Murcia as a destination for cycling tourism model of sustainable tourism as well.
Councilman Jesus Pacheco has proposed Hotels in Murcia, in collaboration with the Municipal Office of the Bicycle, Bike become friendly establishments and promoting the tourism sector.
This will be informed of a series of measures that the City will push such as having a certain space for bicycle parking, provide facilities and information on bicycles and workshops and include them in a web of promoting tourism and cycling
We have also introduced various measures to enhance sustainable transport related to tourism such as eco-tourism, the interconnection of Murcia with track cycling road with tourism potential as Greenways and EUROVELO or integration of the bicycle as added value service chain of hotels in the city.
