Now the Citizens Assembly of Murcia on Saturday approved the election of 12 members that will accompany the general secretary, Alicia Morales in the Coordinating Council, and the list of 5 Guarantees Committee members.

The vote took place last Saturday at the regional headquarters of Podemos, and was attended by 64% of members of the municipalist training.

With this new step, now Murcia has completed the process started last July with the election of its general secretary, and reinforced to face the new political course in order to consolidate their work and their presence at street level in the different neighborhoods and districts of the municipality.

Morales said that after the renewal of their coordinating bodies, "Now Murcia reinforces its municipalist project, focusing on the regeneration of the institutions and bring them to citizenship".

The general secretary ensures that training "is intended to contribute to the achievement of a truly participatory democracy, in addition to continuing fighting seamless corruption, defend at all times the common good and protecting and highlighting the hallmarks of municipality".

According says Morales, "the draft now Murcia aims to reach every corner of the neighborhoods and districts of the municipality, increasing the illusion of citizenship for political participation and making among all people a municipality more developed and fairer".
