The Governing Board of the Faculty of Medicine of the Catholic University of Murcia, to serious and untimely statements carried out in various media by the Rector of the University of Murcia, José Orihuela, shows:
His deep discontent with the lack of respect and disregard for students, teachers, administrative staff and family members of students of the Faculty of Medicine of the UCAM, an institution that has always been open to dialogue for the good of the entire university community Murcia.
The statements of the highest representative of public universities seem radical, intolerant and anti-constitutional.
With them endangers the university system and creates unnecessary conflict.
The Catholic University San Antonio has an agreement in force approved by the Ministry of Education, the ANECA and the Governing Council of the Region of Murcia for conducting practices medicine in all hospitals in the region, including Murcia, UCAM headquarters.
It is surprising that mr.
Orihuela complain of not having space for practices of Medicine UMU and yet propose absorb students from the UCAM, in which case desparecerían these problems.
We consider it very serious to qualify for "cancer remove" the presence of teachers and students of the UCAM in hospitals in the region.
Finally, we ask the heads of the Regional Government to publicly speak out against this serious interference by the rector of the University of Murcia.
