38 unemployed elaborate menus in the dining room of Jesus Forsaken in a new training program catering (16/09/2016)

Besides this project, the City Council ask the SEF the implementation of other employment scheme for 40 young people, which in this case will deal to build a classroom building in FICA.

These plans allow alternate training with work and professional practice.

The Governing Board approved both programs and commitment to funding provided by the City Council part, amounting to 800,000 euros, in addition to the subsidy of almost 1 million euros requested the SEF.

78 people who are unemployed will have the opportunity to train in hospitality and the construction of two classroom blocks in two programs that will give the City Council in collaboration with the Regional Employment Service and Training.

To this end, the Governing Board has given this morning approval to the memories of both programs and the commitment of funding to be provided by the City Council, amounting to 800,000 euros, in addition to the request for a grant to SEF amounting to 1 million euros.

The first of these programs, to be held in El Palmar, aims at training 38 unemployed aged between 25 and 54 years in the tourism sector, particularly in the hospitality, which currently require professionals and represents one of our most active sectors in generating economy and job creation.

This plan will have a budget of 963,000 euros, of which the City provides 400,000 euros and the subsidy requested under the SEF amounts to 563,000 euros.

Participants will receive training alternating with work and professional practice in three specialties: kitchen, pastry and confectionery and bar and cafeteria services.

During the delivery of the course, which will last one year, students will perform various activities, including:

- The development of 65 menus for dinner daily users of the Patronage of Jesus Forsaken;

- The promotion of festivals and products by participating in local events and celebrations of great concourse (fairs, museums, local events and celebrations, etc.);

- Service restaurant and coffee bar in the dining CFIE of El Palmar for practice;

- Collaboration with CEOM (Association for the integration of people with intellectual disabilities) preparing desserts for its users;

- Publicize gastro-tourist cultural elements of the municipality, contributing to an image of Murcia as a place of tourist attraction.

Students masonry, plumbing and air conditioning

Meanwhile, the Aulario FICA II program aims to enable professional qualifications for the employment of 40 young people under 25 years.

In this case, students will learn five specializations: masonry, auxiliary operations continuous coatings in construction, operations and domestic air conditioning plumbing, electrical installation and maintenance of low voltage installations and carpentry and furniture.

Participants will carry out the construction of two new multi-purpose rooms in the FICA, and the adequacy of outer space between these two new classrooms and built in the previous phase.

They carry out the storm disposal facilities, air conditioning, electricity and telecommunications and manufactured furniture needed to equip.

Their tasks will also lead them to continue intervention in the premises of CFIE-El Palmar initiated in previous programs and maintenance in public buildings, in the maintenance of plumbing and heating-air conditioning, as electrical installations, repairs for maintenance or specific modifications in various public schools and small repair work wood and furniture, among others.

Alternating training and work

Mixed employment-training programs offered in collaboration with the Regional Employment and Training allow people involved receive vocational training for employment alternating with work and professional practice.

Also they receive throughout the project, guidance, counseling and professional information that will enable them both to search for paid employment and for setting their own.

With this system, subject to the call for Local Public Employment, it becomes possible to favor the acquisition of work experience and improving employment of people unemployed, while works of general interest are executed.
