The Board of Governors approved an amount of 207,212 euros for the development of social and educational activities and leisure, the integral Civic Center Children for reconciling work and family life, located on Avenida Juan Carlos I, in Murcia.
The 'Concilia' service, which will benefit 200 children, will be held from the Department of Social Rights, headed Conchita Ruiz Caballero, and is aimed at mothers and working parents, so they can have a resource that enable new family and social relationships, while allowing the balance of responsibilities between work and family life, thus promoting the reconciliation of work and family life of working people.
They can turn children between 6 and 16 years who are registered in the municipality of Murcia and that their parents are working, undergoing training or active job search.
Specifically, the activities contemplated by this service are: Ludoteca, Schools Christmas holiday, spring, June, September and holidays, Summer School and School of Parents.
The activities offered aim, addressing the physical, intellectual, socio-affective and leisure time of children, providing them with adequate infrastructure to coordinate various actions concerning children, offering a socializing space from the prospect of coeducation and specialized children and their families care.
In addition, the integration of parents into employment on an equal footing is favored, along the lines of gender mainstreaming and guidelines of the Municipal Plan for Equal Opportunities between men and women.
